Satchari National Park

Satchari National Park

A hill forest in Habiganj named after seven streams, Satchari is home to gibbons, langurs and many forest birds.

Satchari National Park lies in Chunarughat upazila of Habiganj, near the Indian border. Its name means seven streams, after the small channels that flow through the forest. The area was declared a national park in 2005. The mixed evergreen forest shelters hoolock gibbons, Phayre's langurs and a rich variety of birds. A Tripura community lives within the park, and walking trails and an observation tower make it a popular place for nature lovers.
